Volunteer Managers‘ Forum, **In Person** 01 September
When: 14.00-16.30 (tea, coffee and informal networking for the first 15 minutes), Thursday 01 September 2022 Where: New Volunteer House, 16 East Fergus Place, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1XT This event is being organised by Fife Voluntary Action
Our Volunteer Managers' Forums are open to anyone who works in Fife and who is involved in the recruitment and/or management/supervision of volunteers.
Volunteer Management can sometimes be a solitary role within an organisation, and our Forums are a great way to meet other people who are doing a similar role to you and reduce any sense of isolation you may have. There's also the chance to network (formally and informally), catch up with changes happening in the field, discuss issues you may have and ask questions of any guest speaker and FVA staff who will be in attendance.
At this session, we're going to be looking at inclusive volunteering - a very wide topic, covering more than the Equality Act's Protected Characteristics (we'll help you through what these are, what the Scottish Government suggests they should be and what else they might encompass). We'll look at the latest trends, in this category and beyond. And remember that this is a topic that could boost your volunteer recruitment, as there may be groups of people that you are currently not reaching, outwith these categories.
To support networking, we will share your name, organisation and contact e-mail addresses to other attendees at the start of the forum. Please let us know if you do not want your details shared.
We look forward to welcoming you in person to our Kirkcaldy office - free parking is available for Blue Badge holders.
