    News/Events Category: General News

Following a successful pilot of the Women Returners Program in partnership with Skills Development Scotland, Virtual Internships are delighted to be able to offer the Employability and Personal Development Program for Women Returners programme opportunity to more women residing in Scotland.

The programme runs over a period of five weeks with a maximum commitment of 15hrs per week.

Recruitment for new participants is now open for a virtual learning journey working towards employability and future career goals.

To kick start the application process, eligible candidates are required to complete a very short form on our Women Returners website in order to join our next cohort beginning on 20 June 2022.

This programme is designed for women over the age of 25 years old that have been unemployed for at least the past 6 months and are currently living in Scotland. To be eligible, the participants must have had any prior employment history or experience, regardless of how long ago this happened as well as to be able to provide proof of right to work.

*Any international employment experience or history is acceptable.*

To learn more, please invite anyone who is interested to visit the dedicated webpage regarding the Women Returners Program here.

    What is on offer:

The programme is proven to be effective in building confidence, communication and group working skills. The program is delivered fully online so no travel required and is a great way for women to brush up on their digital literacy and communication apps in this blended learning experience by taking part in interactive workshops, topical seminars and host company live projects.

the programme helps reduce anxiety surrounding a return to the workplace.  Most guest speakers have experienced a career break and they have provided valuable insight into what works passing onto participants a framework with focus, best practices and solutions to address any CV gap with future employers.

Participants will leave more confident and armed with current work experience and potential references through host company project work.
