Touching Lives is an innovative project, where deafblind trainers deliver informal training to increase awareness of deafblindness through their “lived experience” and its daily challenges.
The awareness sessions are offered to groups, organisations and individuals who engage with, and support older people.
A Deafblind Awareness Toolkit and Attendance Certificate will be provided after the training once the relevant paperwork is completed and returned.
The training lasts approximately two hours and is an introduction to deafblindness and is free.
Additional courses can be run for organisations and groups, with a minimum of 5 participants. We can be flexible with the dates and times.
The session will take place via Zoom from 09:30 - 11:30 on 30 June 2022. Any group, organisation, or workplace that is interested in joining the session should e-mail Alison Wilkie, Project Officer for TLT2, at [email protected]
If your organisation is interested in attending awareness training with Deafblind Scotland in the future, please e-mail [email protected] and we will be able to arrange this.
It's free! Tell us about your event, news, training, vacancy etc. by completing a short form and we'll add it to our e-bulletins and website - accessed by thousands of people every month.
