Bereavement by Suicide event
When: 13:00 - 16:15, Tuesday 24 May 2022 Where: Online This event is being organised by Public Health Scotland and COSLA This particular event is free to attend, so no payment is required.
It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.
People who have been bereaved by suicide are themselves at a higher risk of suicide. In order to address this, Scotland's suicide prevention action plan, Every Life Matters, commits to ensuring that support is provided to those impacted by a death by suicide.
This event, taking place from 13:00 - 16:15 on 24 May 2022, is an opportunity to hear about examples of national and local work focussed on improving the experiences of those impacted by the death of someone by suicide. You will hear about a range of work covering family/carer support; support in workplaces and building capacity. Throughout the session, there will also be opportunities to have your say about what else is needed to reduce the impact of a death by suicide. These discussions will help shape the next suicide prevention strategy due to be published in September 2022. The event is free and registration is via this link.
