    Post: Volunteer Coordinator

    Hours: 21 hours per week (0.6 full-time equivalent)

    Salary: £25,749 to £28,250 per annum pro rata + 6% contribution to pension scheme

    Greener Kirkcaldy is a community-led charity and social enterprise. It runs a wide range of projects, tackling climate change and social injustice and bringing the community together.

    The team is looking for an experienced Volunteer Coordinator to grow and develop volunteering at Greener Kirkcaldy. This is a new post. The staff team is growing as Greener Kirkcaldy expand their programme of work to meet the needs of the community and tackle the twin climate and cost-of-living crises. You will be joining Greener Kirkcaldy along with other new staff at an exciting time for the charity. Volunteers are at the heart of all of Greener Kirkcaldy's work. It has more than 80 active volunteers supporting a range of projects and activities within the key themes of climate action, energy, food and growing, reuse & repair and transport. Current roles include growing and gardening volunteers, community food volunteers, cycle ride leaders, cycle shop volunteers, media volunteers and climate and energy champions.

    Each volunteer team is led and supported by a 'volunteer lead' member of staff. You will be responsible for coordinating volunteering across the organisation including developing and delivering Greener Kirkcaldy's volunteer strategy, supporting the volunteer leads to deliver interesting and inclusive volunteering programmes and improving volunteer experiences through induction, training and development plans. You will also play a key role in developing employability programmes and work placements.
