    Scottish Carer's Assistance Consultation

This parliamentary term, the Scottish Government will introduce the replacement for Carer’s Allowance. From its launch, Scottish Carer’s Assistance will deliver improved support for Scotland’s carers.

The Scottish Government has launched a public consultation on Scottish Carer’s Assistance and is seeking views from carers, stakeholders and the wider public.

The consultation outlines proposals aimed at improving the service that carers receive, including increased financial support and links to wider support in areas such as social care, employability, education and bereavement. The consultation is open until 23 May 2022, please share with your networks.
