This session will provide induction training to all prospective volunteers on FVA's befriending project, and will include:
- what befriending is
- the roles and responsibilities of a befriender
- setting and maintaining boundaries
- confidentiality and safeguarding
- how to have your first conversation with your befriendee
- building strong relationships between befrienders and their befriendees
- details of the support FVA will offer and the next steps to be taken
