    The Road Safety Trust is an independent grant-giving trust which supports projects and research that make UK roads safer for all road users - pedestrians, cyclists, mobility scooter users, car drivers, lorry and van drivers, and motorcyclists.

    The main aim of the Small Grants Programme is to improve road safety at a local level. Eligible projects under this round will need to build on one of the four following areas:

    • Community Corners
    • Mobile:Engaged
    • Improving Driver Behaviour through Mindfulness
    • Targeting Road Injury Prevention (TRIP)

    In 2022, the Small Grants programme is focused on taking forward trials and initiatives that have taken place using their funding.

    Who can apply

    Each application should have a lead organisation which must be a UK local public sector organisation (e.g., Local Authority, Police Force or Fire and Rescue Service, Road Safety Partnership) or a UK-based registered charity, not-for-profit social enterprise or community interest company.

    The Small Grants round closes on 26 April 2022.
