Fife Employment Access Trust (FEAT) in collaboration with Fife Council has secured funding through the National Lottery Heritage Fund and a range of other sources to renovate a B-listed former flax mill and adapt it as a visitor centre and community hub, providing backpackers' hostel, cafe and restaurant, meeting and event and activity spaces, artists' studios, office space and interpretation on the heritage of the Mill.
The Silverburn Flax Mill Renovation project aims to make a significant contribution towards the Mill and its setting within the Park creatively and collaboratively. The FEAT team seeks an Activities Co-ordinator to proactively work with a range of other organisations to secure volunteers and community participation in a wide range of heritage-based activities including flax growing; traditional skills; social, industrial, and natural heritage, detailed within the activity plan. FEAT is an Equal Opportunities and Disability Confident employer and encourages applications from all members of the community including disabled applicants.
The team welcomes applications from everyone irrespective of gender and ethnic group, but, as members of ethnic minority groups are currently under-represented in the organisation, applications are encouraged from members of these groups. The appointment will be based on merit alone. Please do not send a C.V. PVG Scheme Membership, a Right to Work in the UK check, and proof of qualifications declared on the application form are required.
