Fifers and organisations awarded their Fife Civic Recognition Award certificates
Created: 23/02/2022, Updated: 24/02/2022People and organisations across Fife have been receiving certificates in recognition of their exceptional service and support during the COVID pandemic.
Earlier in 2021, the Fife Partnership launched the Fife Civic Recognition Awards, administered by FVA - an opportunity that enabled anyone in Fife to nominate a volunteer or organisation that they believe went above and beyond in their efforts during the earlier part of the pandemic.
Every nominee has now received a certificate in recognition of their efforts through the post. Certificates are endorsed by Lord Lieutenant of Fife - Mr Robert Balfour - and the Provost of Fife – Cllr Jim Leishman MBE.
In a letter accompanying their certificates, Fifers were, on behalf of the Fife Partnership, congratulated by Kenny Murphy (CEO of FVA) for their phenomenal efforts. Kenny said: "Lots of great work took place during a truly exceptional and difficult time for many and - thanks to people like you - our communities and citizens were supported and looked after when it was needed. Thousands of neighbours, volunteers, charity staff, public sector staff and businesses when above and beyond to help our fellow citizens and demonstrated humanity in adversity"
"I hope this certificate goes some way to showing the appreciation and gratitude of those who recognised and benefited from your significant contribution, as well as us here at FVA, the wider Fife Partnership, the Lord Lieutenant and the Provost."
"Well done and thank you"
Congratulations to all nominees - your efforts have been phenomenal and made a difference to the lives of many Fifers during the hardest times of the pandemic.
