Kirkcaldy YMCA delivers youth work services and support programmes for children, young people and adults every year, working with and supporting a number of vulnerable people. The Youth Work Co-ordinator post involves working closely with staff and volunteers in Kirkcaldy YMCA to develop and support young people's skills, capacities, and resilience in both th main building and at the new Gallatown HUB.
The Youth Work Co-ordinator will build and sustain trusted relationships to support young people to increase their skills and abilities; improve their mental health; develop tools to increase their resilience and ultimately increase their opportunities for progressing to a positive future with greater life chances. The Youth Work Co-ordinator will, under the supervision of Kirkcaldy YMCA's management team deliver aspects of the work involved in the delivery of the youth work programmes, both groups-based clubs and activities and 1-to01 support work as part of young people's development. The delivery of training and learning programmes is crucial within this role. Please note that the post is temporary in the first instance, pending further funding.
