    Created: 03/02/2022
    News/Events Category: General News

Express Group Fife is a mental health charity operating in Fife for over forty years. It provides group activities and one-to-one work to people over 18 experiencing poor mental health. Groups meet once a week or a few times per week in: Dunfermline, Inverkeithing, Lochgelly, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Cupar and St Andrews.

In the groups, participants receive a light breakfast of toast and tea/coffee (bottomless) and simple lunch at the end. Groups run from 09:30 - 13:00 and activities are decided by the participants (this can include playing board games, doing arts and crafts, doing crosswords and other puzzles, playing bingo, or just sitting and chatting with old and new friends). There is a garden group in St Andrews operating March-October.

On Tuesday 22 February, Express Group Fife plan to start a group in St Agatha's Church, 160 Methil Brae, Methil KY3 3LU. There is usually a £4.50 charge per meeting but the charity will waive the joining fee until the end of April 2022. The charity typically operates on a referrals system but the first day will be open to everyone. Referral and self-referral forms can be downloaded here or requested by e-mailing [email protected]
