Scotland's health and social care sector is experiencing an urgent crisis when it comes to recruiting and retaining staff.

The Capital City Partnership (CCP) has launched the Proud to Care campaign to shine a spotlight on the meaningful and fulfilling work that staff and volunteers do across the health and social care sector. The campaign is now taking place across six Local Authorities involved in the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal (Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian, West Lothian, Fife and the Scottish Borders).  An informative video is available, as well as a social media toolkit, to share the stories of a variety of inspirational individuals from across the sector - see more below.

Three inspiring individuals share their experiences via online videos to demonstrate the difference that they are making by working in health and social care -  illustrating  the hard and demanding work that they do, as well as the rewarding, diverse, and accommodating nature of the work and how it may be ‘one of the best things you will ever do!’

The below promotional tools can complement any of your own related activities, training, courses and endeavours – or, in fact, any others you may be aware of, including activities that encourage more people to learn about the work of the sector and assisting clients and customers with applications.

The Capital City Partnership would value your help in sharing these promotional items accordingly within your organisation and/or externally to employability colleagues, statutory partners and key networks as widely as possible.
