This event is being organised by Equal Voice Citizen Advocacy
It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.Equal Voice Citizen Advocacy is inviting you its Family and Carers Transition Talks event. This free online event is aimed at the families and carers of young people who may require additional support transitioning from high school to college or employment.
The purpose of the event is to provide information on the many opportunities and organisations available in your local community. There will be a number of specialist speakers over the next five weeks, all eager to alleviate worries and concerns in order to help you support your young person to live their best lives.
The topics discussed at the events will focus on:
- Power of Attorney - Guardianship Transition from Child Service to Adult Service.
- The transition from school to college and funding opportunities available to our supported learning students.
- Supported employment and supported work.
- Self-directed support
- Support for carers.
- Inspirational Talks for your young person from those who are or have transitioned.
The talks begin at 17:45 on Wednesday 09 February and will run each Wednesday at 17:45 finishing on Wednesday 09 March.
