Lunchtime Learning – Climate Change – What is the “Climate Emergency” and how to take action
Created: 22/12/2021, Updated: 20/01/2022FVA Lunchtime Learning sessions to support third sector in Fife
FVA lunchtime learning sessions are aimed at raising the skills and capacities of local third sector providers interested in improving or enhancing their provision in Fife.
The Scottish Government announced a Climate Change Emergency earlier last year, and many of us will know of COP26, a summit for world leaders with expertise in climate change and the power to change legislation - held in November 2021. But how do we as organisations in our own right contribute and respond to economic and cultural landscape emerging as a consequence? As the climate changes, so must we. At this session Hayley Williamson of Climate Action Fife will help participants begin to understand:
· What the climate emergency is;
· How to signpost to climate literacy and what opportunities are available to raise awareness;
· What you can do as an organisation, community and individually, to respond to climate change
