    Post: Volunteer Coordinator

Hours: 25 hours per week (Part-time)

    Salary: £23,627.00 per annum (£15,964.00 pro-rata)

Contract: Three months initially - extension subject to funding

    Location: Kirkcaldy

Fife Migrants Forum (FMF) is a Scottish charity founded by people experiencing migration, people from minority communities and local Fife communities. The agency was set up to offer practical support, information, advice, and advocacy to meet the needs of large numbers of new migrants coming into the area. The main areas of work concern employment, health, housing, welfare, and legal issues and the anxieties and fears people face, often with little understanding of English impeding their' settling in'.

FMF is growing its service delivery, and that's why the organisation is now looking for an inspirational volunteer coordinator who can meet the volunteering needs of the organisation through the recruitment, placement, development, and retention of a highly engaged volunteer team. This role is all about leading and managing every aspect of the volunteering experience and driving the volunteer team's collaboration with the employed team and our beneficiaries. The ideal candidate will have a successful background in community development or managing and leading teams and will have enabled similar organisations to develop and grow their volunteer resources. The candidate must relish attracting and bringing a new team of people together to make a difference in the community. The ideal candidate will be experienced in delivering volunteer campaigns and demonstrate a clear understanding of what it takes to provide effective volunteering support to vulnerable community members, including children, young people and adults, if possible within international or ethnic minority settings.

FMF hopes to extend the role beyond the three-month contract, which will depend on the funding provided. Interested candidates should e-mail a request for an application pack to [email protected]

The closing date for applications is Friday 14 January 2022. Interviews will take place in the week commencing 17 January 2022. Fife Migrants Forum would love to hear from all suitably trained and competent candidates if they believe this job is for them!
