It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.The Scottish Government and COSLA are holding the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence National Summit, which will take place from 10:00 - 12:30 on 10 December 2021.
Delivered in partnership with Public Health Scotland, Police Scotland and the Improvement Service, the National Summit will aim to:
- share and amplify key learning that has arisen throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and across local 16 Days of Activism summits and events, on collective progress, opportunities and challenges experienced by organisations working to improve outcomes for women, children and young people affected by gender-based violence;
- strengthen commitment amongst senior leaders and decision-makers to support the development and implementation of the next phase of Equally Safe: Scotland’s Strategy to Prevent and Eradicate Violence Against Women and Girls; and
- identify and agree tangible actions that we can take individually and collectively to deliver a joined-up, cross-policy response to tackling gender-based violence, that ensures all women, children and young people in Scotland are equally safe.
Targeted at senior leaders and decision-makers at a local and national level, the National Summit will provide an opportunity to discuss the progress that has been made to-date ensure systems and services are in place across Scotland to promote the safety and wellbeing of women and children who have experienced domestic abuse and other forms of gender-based violence and to challenge ourselves, and each other, to consider “what will you do?” to drive forward future improvements.
