Transport Scotland - Ferries Accessible Fund
Created: 30/11/2021Transport Scotland's Ferries Accessible Fund aims to improve the accessibility of ferries and ports and to enhance the ferry traveling experience of disabled people and others facing mobility or access challenges. This includes passengers that have hidden disabilities.
The fund supports the Accessible Travel Framework for Scotland, whose purpose is to:
There must be a clear link into active and sustainable travel and be linked to ferry passage, particularly in areas such as sustainable communities, the built environment and encouraging multi-modal travel.
Who can apply?
Any ferry or harbour operator providing an internal ferry service. This includes local authority ports and ferry services and private sector ports and services. In addition, local authorities and regional transport partnerships or other community group may wish to lead an application in respect of improvements at eligible ports and services in their area.
How to apply?
The 7th round opened on 25 November and will close on 17 December 2021.
