    The Health, Social Care and Sport Committee is undertaking an inquiry into the health and wellbeing of children and young people in Scotland.

    The inquiry aims to address key issues affecting the health and wellbeing of children and young people including:

    • Child poverty (including the Scottish Government’s current child poverty delivery plan), inequality and adverse childhood experiences;
    • Issues affecting care experienced young people;
    • Mental health, access to Child and Adult Mental Health Services and the importance of early intervention; and
    • Health and wellbeing in schools

    The Committee would like to hear from stakeholders on the topic of the health and wellbeing of children and young people.

    This consultation opened for submissions on Friday 12 November 2021 and will close for new submissions between Monday 03 January and 17 January 2022, depending on the group.
