Living Wage Week 2021 - New rate announced!

News/Events Category: General NewsLiving Wage Week will take place on 15 - 21 November 2021, and FVA is delighted to celebrate its seventh year as an accredited real Living Wage employer.
There are 81 accredited Living Wage employers across Fife. As a member of the ‘Making Glenrothes a Living Wage town’ Action Group, we encourage other employers in the area to join us and become a Living Wage employer.
This year is extra special as it has been 20 years since the start of the Living Wage movement.
Living Wage Scotland is running a series of online events and webinars to inform employers and employees on how to maximise the benefits of the real Living Wage across different sectors and industries.
*New rate announcement*
The new Living Wage rate was announced on Monday 15 November. Living Wage Employers should implement the new rates as soon as possible and within six months of the announcement.
The rate is now £9.90 (£11.05 in London) and is independently calculated each year according to the cost of living. You can find out more about the calculation here
