Seescape (the operational name for Fife Society for the Blind) is the leading charity provider of support services for people with a visual impairment in Fife. It aims to empower people with visual impairment to live safely, independently and achieve their personal goals.

Seescape has an opportunity for a Driver/Support Worker, who is an experienced and careful driver with a full, clean driving licence, to transport its visually impaired Assistive Technology Trainer (ATT) and his guide dog to enable him to visit and support clients in their own homes in Fife. Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme will be required.

    Main duties include:

    • To drive the person supported in order that they fulfil the requirements of travel in their role.
    • Assist in the set-up and dismantling of assistive technology equipment.
    • Provide sighted assistance, orientation and guiding to the person supported.

Full training will be provided. For further information/to request an application pack, please contact Sheila Chappell on [email protected]
