  • The Postcode Dream Fund (environment, social inequality & recovery)

    Created: 05/10/2021
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

    The Postcode Dream Fund gives organisations the chance to deliver the project they have always dreamed of, but never had the opportunity to bring to life. It asks charitable organisations across Great Britain to think big, be ambitious and collaborate with other not-for-profit partners to deliver their dream project. Applications must come from a partnership of at least two charitable organisations, one of which will be designated as the lead.

    Please note this is a highly competitive fund, and only 2-3 projects are funded each year.

    The focus of this year's Dream Fund will be projects that are looking to deliver systemic change in the following funding categories:

    • Environment/conservation
    • Social inequality
    • Pandemic recovery

    Who can apply?

    It will fund:

    • Charities in Great Britain;
    • Lead partners who are registered charities with official charity numbers (i.e. registered with the Charity Commission or with OSCR);
    • Supporting partners must also be not-for-profit organisations but do not have to be registered charities (partners can be CICs, CIOs, CASCs, voluntary organisations etc.);
    • Universities, research and further education institutes can apply as a partner organisations only but not as leads;
    • Charities who have an annual income at least twice the amount that is being applied for (i.e. if applying for £500,000 then the lead applicant must have an income of at least £1 million) as evidenced by their latest audited accounts).

    How to apply?

    There is a three-stage application process. Stage 1 applications must be submitted on the online application form which is available from the website when the fund is open. If shortlisted, Stage 2 is a more detailed application and Stage 3 involves a finalist presentation to the Dream Fund Assessment Panel.

    When to apply?

    The application form will be open until 17:30 on 01 November 2021.
