  • Corra Foundation - The Promise Partnership

    Created: 17/08/2021
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

The Promise Partnership is an investment of £4m from the Scottish Government intended to deliver change in line with Scotland’s commitment to creating capacity in the ‘care system‘ to #KeepThePromise and provide holistic family support.

This funding strand aims to offer an investment that will help ensure we can maintain natural connections between children, young people and families. Collaborations must focus on how their plan will contribute to Brothers and Sisters within the Change Programme, specifically:

    • Scotland will stop the practice of separating brothers and sisters, unless for reasons of safety.
    • Relationships between brothers and sisters will be cherished and protected across decision-making and through the culture and values of the people who care for them.

    Who can apply?

The Promise Partnership is looking to support two or three collaborative approaches that need additional resources to help implement the legislation for brothers and sisters that ensures children and young people with care experience are able to restore or maintain loving, safe relationships. Collaborations can be formed around a geographical area or one or more of a specific aspect that will support brother and sister relationships.

    How to apply?

Complete the 'Are You Ready' checklist on the Corra Foundation website. If eligible, you will be sent an application form.

    When to apply?

Applications open on 13 August 2021. The closing date for applications is 12:00 on 10 September 2021.
