Investment, funding, banking and other money matters offer opportunities and challenges for all social enterprises and many third sector organisations. In this monthly series of webinars, Social Enterprise Scotland will look at all aspects of finance and learn how to better drive money towards social impact.

At this Finance Focus session, participants will be joined by Helen Crampin of Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).

You'll have the opportunity to learn about how third sector organisations can access the upcoming SBRI Healthy Ageing Social Ventures Competition, from UKRI and their Healthy Ageing Challenge.

The healthy ageing market they are investing in is very diverse. It ranges from helping people remain physically active through to managing the impacts of ageing, such as hearing loss and cognitive impairment. On the way, innovations will help people live independently in their own homes for longer and enable them to remain engaged with their communities.

The competition aims to help you achieve your mission by awarding a total of £3m. With grants for eligible project costs being allocated across two funding streams: Stream 1: £25 – 50k and Stream 2: £51 – 150k.

Dr Helen Crampin: “The 100% funding provided by this competition, recognises the valuable contribution social enterprises make to society. I’m really looking forward to supporting you through the competition process and ensuring you get the best chance possible of securing this great funding opportunity.”

This session will take place from 11:30 - 12:15 on Wednesday 11 August 2021. Book a place here.
