Enable Works Employability Fund training – places available in August

News/Events Category: General NewsENABLE Works are currently open for referrals for Stage 2 and 3 courses starting in August, offering face to face interaction and support in the groups.
At these courses, participants will gain employability skills and an SQA personal development qualification. The course is two days per week with 1:1 support for those who need more support or specific advice. This is an opportunity for people facing barriers and/or difficulties in accessing mainstream education or employment or for those young people who needs help in transition between school and further training or work.
Over 12 weeks learners will be supported to:
• Create CVs,
• Practice mock interviews,
• Gain an understanding of the world of work,
• Learn about personal presentation
• Learn how to communicate effectively
• Achieve a PDA level 3 or 4 qualification
During the course participants will also be supported to look for employment opportunities and to undertake work place visits to employers and work placements (in accordance with government guidelines).
Also, for our younger participants there is an opportunity to earn a £55 per week training allowance.
