Created: 14/07/2021, Updated: 09/09/2021We asked people who attended similar sessions earlier in the year, what they liked most about our training - here are some of their comments:
Course Content
That volunteers are part of your organisation voluntarily is obvious, but do they ever feel an obligation to remain involved? Organisations therefore need to consider ways in which they may (consciously or unconsciously) be creating a 'contract' between themselves and their volunteers. This course will help you to identify any possible pitfalls and how to avoid them.
Included in the course:
• The difference between volunteers and other categories of people in an organisation
• The impact of the Equality Act 2010;
• The most likely areas of any legal challenge
• Issues to consider in your documentation, routines and recognition/reward
Who should attend
Anyone who has, or is expecting to have, responsibility for recruiting/managing volunteers in their organisation. Your organisation should be providing a service in Fife.
