FEAT is seeking an Employment Specialist to use the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, working in partnership with Fife Health and Social Care and with clients with complex and enduring mental health conditions across Fife. IPS is a proven way of helping people, who have had mental ill health, back to work. The successful candidate will proactively manage a caseload of individuals who are unemployed and/or currently off work.
The post is 100% funded by the European Social and Investment Fund part-time or full-time hours considered, initially contracted to end of December 2021 (with an expectation to continue beyond this date subject to funding)

For this period of funding, the role will mainly be done virtually, with collaborative technology being used to ensure that a minimum of 65% of your time is spent working with clients, employers or referrers. Although working remotely, there is an expectation of occasional essential travel for face-to-face engagements within Fife. You will undertake to agree to and practise in line with FEAT's professional guidelines and will be part of an enthusiastic dynamic team offering an inclusive, non-judgmental approach to support and empower people to flourish by managing their mental health for life.
FEAT require all client-facing staff hold, or have a commitment to holding, professional registration as a Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) through attainment of the NIDMAR qualification. There is an opportunity to complete this requirement through funded training and subsidised membership, once in post (subject to availability, terms and conditions). FEAT are an Equal Opportunities and Disability Confident employer and encourage applications from all members of the community including disabled applicants.
