Our topic this time is Getting to Know You - Peer Networking
We know there have been some changes to the way we work during this time and that connections are more important than ever. So let's take time to engage or re-engage with other volunteer managers in a similar 'themed' work area to us e.g. - outdoor volunteering, food poverty, young people, older people etc. We can't say what the themes will be for definite until people register, so if you want your work area to be represented, register now! And the great thing is that zoom allows for easy geographical connections, so let's use that to our advantage.
We will have a couple of local speakers from the sector to share their experiences (and tips!) for networking, with time for questions and discussion. Breakout rooms will also give us more time to share experience, case studies, knowledge, and resources - and we have extended our usual time to allow for plenty of space to talk and listen. Everyone present will be given a few minutes to present their projects, so get honing that message for our audience!
We’re also going to have a short update on the new quality standard award for Volunteer Management – Volunteer Friendly. It’s now easier to apply and has been extended to include community groups and volunteers’ voices. Sign up now - we look forward to seeing you!
