  • Age Concern Glenrothes is now Later Life Choices Glenrothes

    Created: 07/07/2021

In July 2021, Age Concern Glenrothes has changed its organisation's name to Later Life Choices Glenrothes.

Age Concern Glenrothes has developed so much over the last 10 years and pre-lockdown was delivering six different services providing around 200 spaces a week to older people in the Glenrothes area.  This included: Active Ageing Day Care sessions (including a dedicated service for people with a diagnosis of dementia), Dementia Activity Groups, Dementia Home Support, Befriending, Community based services and Help to Stay at Home services.

Service Manager, Fiona Mackay, commented on the name change: “We have always been committed to providing services that are person centred and give older people a choice.  We have never ‘rested on our laurels’ and have worked hard to expand and adapt our organisation to meet the changing needs of our clients.  The name Later Life Choices Glenrothes better reflects the organisation as it is today and we look forward to re-imagining the provision of our services (very soon!) when Covid-19 restrictions are reduced”.

Later Life Choices Glenrothes new e-mail address is [email protected].  If you e-mail any staff directly their email address will be their first name followed by @laterlifechoicesglenrothes.org.
