Citizens Advice and Rights Fife (CARF) is an independent and innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to local people. Its service continues to grow and expand, and it is now excited to recruit a Generalist Adviser, to join its busy service delivery team.
As a Generalist Adviser, you will provide advice and support to clients and other service users on a wide range of topics, primarily by telephone but also via webchat and video-conferencing. You will be expected to keep your skills, knowledge and experience up-to-date in all key areas of service delivery and advice. This may include carrying out work in, or on behalf of, other teams, including frontline bureau.
You will have a good standard of education, high-quality personal skills and the desire to improve lives. Experience of working in an advice giving capacity and/or a knowledge or interest in the social security system would be advantageous but not essential.
You will be able to communicate complex information in a manner easily understood, whilst always mindful of the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice Bureau and CARF. The successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as supporting and delivering on CARF’s vision and values.
