    Created: 25/06/2021
    News/Events Category: General News

The adolescent stage of development can be a challenging time for both parent and child.  Understanding Teens is a six session online course which has been developed for parents to gain a richer understanding of their teenager’s behaviour and development.  This course provides parents with evidenced explanations for changes in teenage behaviour, and with relationship based strategies to boost young people’s self-esteem and wellbeing into adulthood.

    What does the programme involve?

    • First of all this is not group therapy, currently, this is run as an online class.
    • NHS professionals teach you tried and tested (evidence-based) methods of dealing with anxiety, emotion regulation and managing behaviour in teens.
    • You will receive free workbooks for each session.
    • You will not be asked to share your personal experiences.

Dates for this online course will be organised when participants sign up
