The training is delivered over three sessions and is for anyone wishing to find out more about volunteering and to support you to take your first steps into a volunteering role.
We will introduce you to the world of volunteering and the variety of roles and opportunities that are available. We will help you prepare for starting your journey as a volunteer, including what to expect, the benefits of volunteering, and help you to decide how much time you wish to commit. The training will also include practical support, ranging from completing volunteer application forms, preparing to meet your chosen charity and the support provided whilst you are volunteering. You will receive a certificate on completion of the training.
Stage 1: Introduction to Volunteering and the Benefits of Volunteering - 10:00 to 12:30 on Wednesday 23 June 2021.
Stage 2: Boundaries and Support - 10:00 to 12:30 on Thursday 01 July 2021.
Stage 3:Practical Elements of Volunteering - 10:00 to 12:30 on Wednesday 07 July 2021.
All sessions are from 10.00 to 12.30 and delivered via Zoom. To ensure you have access to all information and to receive your certificate you need to book a place for all three sessions.
