Volunteer Managers‘ Forum 17 June
Created: 20/05/2021, Updated: 08/06/2021We have a wonderful speaker for this forum - we'll hear from Fiona Harvey, Head of Volunteering with CHAS (Children's Hospices Across Scotland), an organisation well known for their innovation with volunteering. They are also part of the Scottish Volunteering Forum, who have a wealth of information that can be shared with us about the return to volunteering as restrictions end and change.
Volunteer recruitment and returning to 'normal' continue to be at the forefront of this kind of work for many of us, and we're keen to hear your experiences and questions too..
Also at this Forum, we will share details with you about FVA's new training plan for volunteers, Step into Volunteering that was launched during Volunteers' Week. We believe this will support volunteer recruitment and we're interested in your views in it - read this story on our website. One of the volunteering team will also share with you our experiences of meeting people every day who want to volunteer and how we can make sure that if you need volunteers, we can put you in touch with them!
Our Volunteer Managers' Forums are open to anyone who works in Fife and who is involved in the recruitment and/or management/supervision of volunteers. Come along to learn, to reduce the isolation this often-solitary role can bring and to connect. There's the chance to network (usually both formally and informally), catch up with changes happening in the field, discuss issues you may have and ask questions of the guest speaker and FVA staff who will be in attendance.
Book your place now! We look forward to seeing you.
