Over the past year the role of local authorities has been crucial in supporting social enterprises.

But what new ways of working have taken place over the past year? What funding and business support has been offered? What is the experience of both social entrepreneurs and local authority officers?

Crucially what now needs to change to build new, mutually beneficial partnerships? How do we get beyond the established topics like procurement and community asset transfer and towards new ideas?

In the context of the new national Action Plan for social enterprise and the next Social Enterprise Census what else can local authorities do?

Social Enterprise Scotland is running a webinar for participants to hear from David Reid, Community Engagement Team, South Lanarkshire Council, Wendy Russell, LEAP Project plus other speakers tbc.
