  • Fife Charities Trust - Funds for Local Communities

    Created: 01/04/2021
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

Fife Charities Trust is a group of Fife Council employees, all but two of whom are volunteers from various Services, who are involved in fundraising, for local community organisations and local, national and international charity organisations.

Of the funds raised by an Employee Lottery, 50% is for distribution to good causes nominated by Council Employees and 50% is for prize money. A small percentage of funds distributed can go to groups outwith Fife – but most of the money raised stays in Fife.

On average groups are awarded £500 - although groups have larger and smaller amounts - it all depends on what funds are available and what groups require funding for.

If you are an employee of Fife Council, you can nominate charity and community groups to receive funding. If you aren't an employee, then most people in the area do tend to know someone who works for Fife Council so fill in the form as above and ask them to be the person who nominates your group.

    Apply for funding.

Meetings are held approximately every six weeks to approve funding applications and groups nominated will be contacted direct once a decision has been made.
