Planned re-imagining exercise of commissioned third sector Health and Social Care activities
Created: 30/03/2021Fife's Health & Social Care Partnership will shortly be undertaking a "re-imagining" exercise of commissioned third sector services.
This will involve all third sector organisations receiving a grant for health or social care services via Fife Council. It will shape future commissioning and Service Level Agreements and is something that organisations should engage with to ensure the best outcome possible. FVA will support organisations to participate and work hard to ensure continued investment in valuable third sector services for the people of Fife.
The review was planned for last year but had been delayed due to the pandemic. We have been assured that there is no reduction of funding to the third sector and organisations can expect the same level of funding in 2021/22 as they did in 2020/21. Future funding will be dependent on the outcome of this "re-imagining"
Fife's Health and Social Care Partnership is currently recruiting a Planning Co-ordinator "to carry out and attain the mission and the goals of the Health and Social Care Partnership around the management of voluntary organisations commissioned by the H&SCP. Working effectively with Health and Social Care staff, clinicians and the wider community and third sector organisations."
There have only been a couple of meetings of those overseeing this process and we have asked to be invited to future meetings. We have been told that this will be the case.
As we learn more, we'll share more.
