Getting the COVID-19 vaccine for work and testing staff for COVID-19
Created: 02/03/2021, Updated: 03/03/2021New COVID-19 advice for workplaces - including guidance on supporting staff when they are offered the vaccine and how to safely access COVID-19 testing for staff - is now available on ACAS's website. Testing and vaccinations must not replace the Scottish Government's working safety guidelines.
Getting the coronavirus vaccine for work:
NHS Scotland is offering everyone the free COVID-19 vaccine, starting with those most at risk. Find out how employers can support their staff to take the vaccine once it's offered to them (e.g employers may find it useful to talk with their staff about the vaccine and share the benefits of being vaccinated), what an employer should do if they feel it's important for their staff to be vaccinated, and how to resolve an issue an employee might have about getting the vaccine.
Testing staff for coronavirus:
To help protect staff and customers, an employer might consider testing staff for COVID-19. Find out about the procedure employers should follow if planning to access COVID-19 testing for staff, and how to resolve any issues that might arise about staff testing.
Visit NHS Fife's website for more information on the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination programme and how to access COVID-19 testing in Fife.
