    Post: Life Skills Support Worker

    Hours: 36 hours

    Contract: 18 month fixed term 

    Location: Glenrothes

    YMCA Glenrothes is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and driven individual with practical skills and experience in housing support work. 

    Candidates must:

    • be warm, caring, and can relate to the needs of vulnerable homeless people;
    • have high degree of inter-personal and communication skills;
    • evidence qualities and experience of being a team player;
    • relate to, engage with and motivate homeless young people towards achieving and managing their own tenancy; and
    • Have a recognised qualification (at least HNC Social Care or SVQ II in Housing, or working towards attaining this).

    The post holder will follow a 6-week rolling Rota which includes two shift patterns 07:00hrs to 14:12hrs and 13:48hrs to 21:00hrs. The post holder will be expected to join the on-call rota which is one every 6 weeks with enhancements paid separately to salary. Relief opportunities will be available for other suitable applicants.
