£500 bonus for health and social care staff

The Scottish Government announced a one-off pro-rata payment of £500 to Scotland’s NHS and social care staff who had made such a significant contribution to the pandemic response. The one-off payment is for Scotland’s NHS and social care workers employed since 17 March 2020, including staff who have had to shield, or who have since retired.
NHS and staff working in Adult Social Care who are eligible include::
Care home staff
Palliative care/hospice staff
Adult Personal Assistants
Social care staff in residential child care settings
Social Workers (including those working with children and families and in criminal justice.

Scotland Excel is working in partnership with Scottish Government to process the £500 payment in the social care sector.
Social care providers should use this online form on behalf of eligible employees. Please note this process is for eligible independent and voluntary providers of social care services in Scotland which are registered with the Care Inspectorate. This does not include local government services, hospices or personal assistants. The Scottish Government will confirm details of separate processes for those groups.
Forms must be submitted by 23:59, Monday 15th February.
