    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

The Scottish Government has announced new funding to provide around 1,400 care homes in Scotland with digital devices to connect those receiving care with their loved ones. The £1 million fund will enable all care homes in Scotland to access iPads to help care home residents stay connected with friends and relatives, and support the clinical management of health conditions remotely.

Registered care homes in Scotland can apply for a device by completing an online application form at Connecting Scotland - the Scottish Government's programme set up in response to COVID-19 to provide digital devices and support to develop digital skills for people who are digitally excluded and on low incomes.

Connecting Scotland is accepting applications continuously until early 2021; however, if at all possible, please submit your application before 30 November 2020 to be considered for a digital package before Christmas.

If you have any problems applying, please e-mail [email protected]
