Our Volunteer Managers' Forum is open to anyone who works in Fife and who is involved in the recruitment and/or management/supervision of volunteers.
Volunteer Management can sometimes be a solitary role within an organisation, and our Forums are a great way to meet other people who are doing a similar role to you and reduce any sense of isolation you may have. There's also the chance to network, catch up with changes happening in the field, discuss issues you may have and ask questions of the guest speaker and FVA staff who will be in attendance.
We have two main topics this time (as well as the chance for anything members wish to discuss!).
First up, FVA's Chief Executive, Kenny Murphy, is coming to talk about the Volunteering Strategy for Fife and what you think it should include and prioritise. What do you want see in the action plan? What aspects do you want partners to lead on? What's important for you and your organisation in this process and for the future? There will be plenty of time to share your views, ask questions and talk to others doing a similar role to you. Then, we'd like to discuss some learning from the pandemic and how we ensure resilience going forward, including, for example what you think FVA could do to support you in your role and much more, what we can all do to ensure we are better prepared for future emergency situations and so on.
The Forum is open to anyone involved in volunteer recruitment and/or management in Fife.
