  • Free cookery activities for older vegetarians and vegans

    News/Events Category: General News

Vegetarian for Life is a UK charity, set up exclusively for the benefit of older vegetarians and vegans.

The team usually delivers in-person training on site to establishments that cater for older vegans and vegetarians – including lunch clubs and day centres.

In these challenging times, the team is offering free cookery activity to third sector organisations to benefit their service users. This activity would involve interactive cookery activities to help reduce social isolation amongst older adults and provide a fun activity that they can look forward to. Service users will learn some new cookery tips and recipes - from cookery demonstrations on getting creative with store cupboard ingredients, cooking on a budget and vegan baking. Other activities include live 'cookalongs' or a virtual luncheon club.

The team is able to host these activities virtually via Facebook and Youtube. If you would be interested in this service, please e-mail Claire Bannerman at [email protected]
