Volunteer Management Course 5, Managing Risk in Your Volunteer Programme

Course Content
You have a moral responsibility to ensure that volunteers are protected from physical, financial and emotional harm arising from volunteering. This course will support your organisation by ensuring you have the tools and the knowledge to ensure you manage risk effectively.
Included in the course:
• Duty of care and the law;
• Your rights and responsibilities;
• What is risk?
• Risk identification and management;
• Risk register;
• Risk assessments;
• Health and safety policy;
• Insurance.
Who should attend
Anyone who has, or is expecting to have, responsibility for recruiting/managing volunteers in their organisation. Your organisation should be providing a service in Fife.
Cancellation Policy
This event is free to attend but to encourage attendance and try and ensure a good turnout to benefit all delegates, we need you to give us at least 48 hours notice of any cancellation.

Notes from the session will be forwarded to all participants who complete a post-training evaluation form that will be e-mailed to you.
