UK Government's Kickstart Scheme [jobs and young people]

News/Events Category: Funding and FinanceThe UK Government's Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create new 6-month job placements for young people who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment. This funding will cover for each job placement:
- 100% of the relevant National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week;
- the associated employer National Insurance contributions; and
- employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions.
Who can apply?
Any organisation, regardless of size, can apply for funding, and there is no limit on the number of six-month job placements you can request. However, any organisations that is employing less than 30 Kickstart roles will need to apply through an intermediary representative organisation.
