  • PATH (Scotland) - life skills and employability programme for ethnic minority women

    The Volant Trust has funded PATH (Scotland) to run an employability and life skills programme to increase access for ethnic minority women who have experienced life challenges. The programme works on a 1-1 basis with ethnic minority women who have an interest in using a collaborative approach. Clients will be supported to develop life goals and a life plan, improve on knowledge and skills and assess and increase confidence levels. 

    The key components of the programme include:

    • analysis of current life situation;
    • setting of goals Identifying key strengths;
    • identification of barriers to progression and areas for development;
    • support networks;
    • challenging discrimination;
    • attitude to change;
    • communication skills; and
    • negotiation Assertiveness and moving forward.
