    The Theatres Trust has repurposed its small grant scheme to support theatres cover additional re-opening costs, building improvements, purchasing equipment that will support a theatre to re-open safely.

    Who can apply?

    To be eligible for fund, applicants must:

    • own or manage a theatre with title or signed leases of more than 5 years on the building;
    • be able to demonstrate that they run regular programmes of not less than 30 performances per year; and
    • have a charitable or not-for-profit governance structure with independently examined accounts for at least two years.

    The scheme will run on a rolling basis throughout 2020 and the Trust will aim to make a decision on applications within four weeks
