    Created: 30/04/2020
    News/Events Category: Community Events

    When: 15.00-16.00, Thursday 14 May 2020
Where: Zoom Call, Anywhere with an internet connection, Online, KY6 2AL
This event is being organised by Fife Voluntary Action
    Costs
This event is free to attend but to encourage attendance and try and ensure a good turnout to benefit all delegates, we will charge a non-attendance fee of £10.00 per delegate. By submitting a booking for this event you agree to pay this fee for those delegates who have places booked but do not attend.

Cancellations can be received up to 5 working days ahead of the event, thus avoiding non-attendance fees. A cancellation will only be valid if we have confirmed it with you. You can send somebody else in place of a booked delegate without incurring a non-attendance fee.

It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

Our Volunteer Managers' Forums are open to anyone who works in Fife and who is involved in the recruitment and/or management/supervision of volunteers.

This Forum will be held using Zoom and is an opportunity for us to share resources, ideas and possible solutions to the challenge of our current times - how do we manage volunteers at a distance?

With no opportunities for the face-to-face contact that we usually have, we'll have time to consider issues such as:

    • how are alternative communication methods working with volunteers?
    • What are the strengths of these that we can take into our work in the future?
    • what areas do we need to develop to help any service our organisations are providing?
    • how do we retain volunteers who are not needed at the moment?

There will also be time for your questions - you can send them in advance, ask them on the day in person or ask via the chat facility (live messaging) during the meeting.

FVA staff will be on hand to facilitate discussion and record your ideas to share with others. There's no limit to the number of people who can attend. The link for the Zoom call will be sent out shortly before the Forum, along with a password, which you will need to access the Forum.

You're welcome to use video or just audio; Zoom allows you to choose. You don't need to download any software; simply follow the link we send out next week and enter the password when prompted.

We look forward to hearing from you.
