  • Department of Culture, Media and Sports announces charities to share 15m from latest Tampon Tax Fund round

    Created: 24/03/2020

Ten voluntary sector organisations have been awarded a total of £15m in the latest round of funding from the Tampon Tax Fund. The biggest awards went to UK Community Foundations and Homeless Link, which received £3.5m and £2m respectively. More than 70 organisations have now received grants worth £62m since the fund was created in 2015, using VAT charged on women's sanitary products. Grants are awarded to projects that help disadvantaged and vulnerable women across the UK. The latest funding round focuses on initiatives that support victims of domestic violence.
