For the second time in quarter of a century, this years early May bank holiday has been moved from Monday 04 May to Friday 08 May, to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day. The change will enable people to pay tribute to the honourable sacrifices made by many men and women during the Second World War, and be able to attend commemorative events that are happening across the country.
