    News/Events Category: FVA News

We are pleased to welcome Trish O'Brien who has been appointed as our new Mental Health Peer Support Network Coordinator. Though she is part of the FVA team, Trish will report to a steering group consisting of representatives from Health & Social Care Partnership; SAMH; Scottish Recovery Network and Fife Employability Access Trust.

Here is a little bit about Trish and her role:

"My role over the coming year is to facilitate the development of a Fife wide mental health peer support network which will include representatives from third sector organisations; health and social care partnership and individuals who have an interest in developing peer support. We will act as a conduit to support statutory and third sector services in Fife, where formal peer support worker (paid and voluntary) opportunities are being embedded within existing systems and services as Fife continues to redesign mental health service delivery across Fife."

The first Network Gathering is on Thursday 19 March from 13.30-16.30 at New Volunteer House, East Fergus Place, Kirkcaldy. If you are interested in being part of the network please contact Trish for further information. [email protected]
